The $5 script grabs the RSS feed from ebay.
There's another RSS feed, which you provide for news or whatever.
You just have to search for a feed that is relevant to your site.

On my site http://www.FondantFrosting.com, I added today some relevant coupons. Two small ones down the side, and one at the bottom instead of one of the adsense ads. Having two adsense blocks right on top of each other sometimes produces identical ads, so I had no problems removing one of them.

I also added an ad for FansEdge (via CJ) at the bottom of TomBradyJerseys.com and ShopCavs.com.

eBay RSS doesn't seem to work at all. I get steady activity with BANS...yet, my near-100 Squidoo lenses with ebay RSS and custom written content and reviews has never made ONE sale, but gets 30-50 clicks per day. I cant understand what's wrong.

i always find when choosing niches make sure you pick ones that are likely to attract traffic

BUT most importantly is that the type of traffic that are willing to buy on ebay??

I have a caravan selling affiliate store but after realising that the people searching for caravans would most likely not be as interested in buying things from ebay as they would professional sites i gave up on it.

On the other hand one of the sites in my footer is making between £25-£70 a day at the moment so $50-$140.

I should really be promoting it more.

Another tip - i got 75 hits this week from yahoo answers ;)

One last tip - i try to get EVERY single person through my sites to ebay. All they have to do it get that cookie on their computer and im happy. if they buy 10 things over that week i get comm for all of them

Why are you sending people away from your site for 0.10p through adsense when they could be making you £10 through ebay?

I agree with your point about Adsense. On Squidoo, I've been selling everything from unique gift ideas under $100, to specific kinds of HDTVs, certain categories of jewelry, work equipment, etc. As stated, tons of clicks (approx. 245 per week), never made a single sale in weeks.

well that is strange i have no experience with squidoo dont even know what it is!!

is it targetted traffic? i have a few sites that dont convert that well but not 250 clicks and no sales.

and they say getting traffic is the hardest part eh? =P

Right now I have started to slow down my promoting aggressively and I am seeing at least $10 in CJ and anywhere from $6-10 in adsense. Still not bad a daily income if you gather a network of websites like this.

That's not bad at all. $510 every month. Just churn out another site now and go for 1K a month.

CJ frowns on this as well. I believe their "code of conduct" actually mentions craiglist as an example third party classified advertisement service. If the third party prohibits affiliate marketing, which craiglist is pretty strict about, CJ does not allow publishers to promote through those third parties. Basically, because craigslist doesn't allow it, CJ in turn doesn't allow it.

I now there are some BANS site owners that have been getting a lot of highly targeted traffic and making some good cash by using craiglist, but I would hate to see that all come to an abrupt halt. If you use craigslist, be careful.

You've got a good point there.
I've been wondering about that myself.
If I had tons of traffic or some high-priced keywords, then adsense makes sense. But if the clicks are worth 20 cents or less, what's the point especially since adsense clicks don't open a new window, leaving the old one intact. (or is there a way they can open a new window?)

i think it may be against googles TOS to open the ads in a pop up since a lot of people block them.

But yeah adsense is wasted leads if your affiliate site has low paying keywords.

I may tryout adsense for a few days on my highest traffic affiliate site and see how much its difference it makes to my daily profit.

As it could be that i end up with more money overall but i highly doubt it.

The idea is impressive. I like the way you executed, but there has to be a way to take this to the next level. I mean, $10-30/day is nice but what would someone have to do to reach 10x that or 100x that?

Also, why not try PPC on something like this? Especially during the holidays, it might kill.

To me, it's worth it overall if I end up making $3000/day in sales and raking in even a third of that. It's all about scale, my friends.

If anyone tries PPC with this, let me know how it works out.
