no, no discounts. We usually have a waiting list during most times of the month. We've talked about actually raising the price for future members in fact.

Another question. How long do the domains last as in turning a profit? From what I've read each domain is only good for a finite amount of time and then it will stop getting search engine traffic.

Would it also be possible for you to breakdown the cost of getting started to the point where it is worth sticking with the program, and also give us a time line of steps and their associated costs? I'm wondering how much money you really need to put into the program to become one of the people that stay in as opposed to the people who quit. For me it's not so much the effort, but the will to front the money. There has to be some decent overhead costs to just get started if you have to register hundreds of domains.

Domains can last months if promoted properly. Remember that google isn't the end all. Some of my best performing domains are almost a year old and receive traffic from yahoo and msn.

As far as costs go, you don't need much up front to be successful. .info domains can be had for under a dollar each. I usually tell people to start with 50 or so domains spread across several niches. That should turn you a profit right there. We give free unlimited hosting, so no cost there. Once you start turning a decent profit you can look at expanding to a vps or dedicated server.

After paying the members fee, how much do you think we need to bring to the table extra? I'm interested and not shy for a little investment but i'm curious.

Why are you multiplying by 30? I thought the hosting was free?

Edit: Or are you saying you should register 50 new domains each day of the month?

Good software. Will give it a fair try. A bit expensive though.

Why would you do 50 domains per day? No one does that.

So correct if I'm wrong, but you would really be looking at:

    50 domains X .89 domain registration + $69 monthly fee = $113.50 start-up cost

Do you know if there are still companies selling 89 cent domains though? Is there a downside to using your free hosting for our domains? I'm just trying to learn about the program from every angle so I don't end up with some unexpected costs down the line.

One last question. I read in your forums that some people have had their CJ account disabled. How often does this happen? Is there an aspect of the program that break CJ's TOS?

    Thanks.

Where did you read that? I don't think anyone has ever had a cj account disabled. I only know of two merchants to avoid on cj that people have had problems with, but nothing else. Definitely no accounts being disabled because of the software though.

Godaddy has a 99 cent .info sale right now. mydomains.com has an 89 or 99 cent special as well.

You got a link to that 99 cent sale. I see $1.99 on their homepage? (godaddy)

Well you sold me on it, I just signed up. So all DP members now, my plan is to run 50 domains for a month giving it 100% effort. The goal is to break even. I'll let everyone know how it goes after the month is up.
