Make Website/Blog Marketing as easy as writing a blog entry? (or easier)

What if you wanted to start your own blog. Setting up a blog today is pretty easy. Blogging lets anyone have a voice on the internet. It allows people to have webpages and content without having to know anything about HTML,XML,Javascript.

Perhaps a basic knowledge of email is required or similar ability to post your ideas, opinions, commentaries.

Okay great, so you get your blog all setup 1.2.3 and you start writing entries about anything and everything that you desire. You even tell all your friends to read your blog, which they may or may not do.

Some may even write a few comments.

After a few days (or weeks), you continue to write, and maybe you start to wonder who is reading what you are writing

[Side Note: Maybe you never wonder this, maybe you never care, maybe your write for other reasons, maybe not caring is
what makes you popular, I don't have all these answers]

If you do start wondering, maybe you become disappointed that your blog is not very 'popular'. Your reader list is declining
you don't have a big following.

Perhaps then you do a bit of research and look into things like SEO, keywords, digg,del.icio.us,spicypage, technorati etc etc. And you start a massive effort (campain) to try and get a few more readers to your blog. Perhaps this works, but you might have to start to get into the 'nitty gritty' details that you never had to worry about when you were just 'blogging and enjoying it'.

I started thinking of ways to help would-be bloggers avoid the same trap that I ran into. People start worrying to much about marketing campaigns, and not enough about interesting content.

So my first conceptual idea was: www.articleswap.biz. The idea was to create a site, that anyone could swap their blog entries into (sort of a large 'super blog mixing' pot of specific blog entries on a wide variety of topics. The idea was to have a simple bookmarklet, that a user could use. Then, through a series of both manual and automatic techniques, these articles would be optimized, and publicized on various syndicated networks. Sort of giving the blog entry
a 'boost' into the blog-o-sphere. So, maybe, seo/marketing could be as 'button pushing' like as writing a blog itself.

Very few sites use frames anymore (they've gotten a bad rep). About.com and tutorialzied.com are a few that still use frames but otherwise they are dead, I thought I'd experiment by using frames as a tool and maybe try to improve their reputation.

Of course, It's not really alturistic though, I hope to gain popularity with the articles swapped by others it's designed to be mutually beneficial.

Just a few random thoughts...for anyone interested.
