make suggestions

    my site has been up for around 7 months now. I'm looking for some suggestions on how to make it better to drive more traffic. Site in signature below

    Maybe you can try rewrite your url, eg:

    h**p://www.bluetomorrow.com/content/Bluetooth-Technology-for-the-Winter

    instead of

    h**p://www.bluetomorrow.com/content/section/184/288/

    and add a google sitemap for your site and submit it to Google to let google know what pages you have.

    Webber: bad idea. The best URI is the coolest URI which never changes. If you have a set URI structure, don't change it. When you change it, search engines get mad and start to bite back at you.

    shirsc2: I like the site, nothing I can see to change at all actually. Good layout, good ad placement, good menu system, a simple and great site overall. Good job.

    Are you using sitemaps? They may serve to get more of your pages indexed

    How many backlinks do you have?

    If you are looking for better ad click numbers you could try the old image over the ads trick. People seem to get good results with doing that.

    thanks for the tips

    using a CMS system has hurt me a little especially with some SEO factors like the URL's and Meta Tags but with little graphical skills, it has made my life alot easier.

    I have about 442 backlinks according to google. I do all my link exchanges manually so it takes up alot of my time. I need to get back on that but with writing content and all its hard to get time.

    For some keywords, i'm in the top 10 in yahoo and msn but no where to be found in google. Hopefully that will change soon.

    I also write some short articles for another website which drives me some more traffic when i post it on their site.

    Adsense has picked up a little bit, not making as much money as I know i can because i don't get enough traffic. If I could generate traffic like some of the experts on this site, i know i could be close to $100 dollars a day but i'm no where near that level at all.

    I want to write a press release but I really don't have anything newsworthy about my site to write about. If anyone has some ideas that would be great.

    Thanks again for the help. Like everyone says, the hardest part is getting traffic and i'm learning that now.
