I think this is a good niche to help people with their addiction -- but are they really buyers? My product is somewhat similar (edited by a cognitive scientist) - http://ez.com/quitpornow -- got several buyers, and just one refund. Though I get a lot traffic for adult related keywords (and some of the search phrases are quite hilarious actually) and non-adult keywords ('how to quit porn', 'stop porn addiction', etc) -- most aren't buying. And some opt-ins do not convert to buyers. I view this as a niche for people with a problem, but unwilling to pay for it nor seek serious help for it...as it's a niche where people are actually getting the material free. Many are used to freebie downloads. I'm actually thinking of moving the product to CPALead, creating short videos on youtube to download a free ebook, and will give you guys the results. And I'll be affiliate for your product too to see how well it converts.
With over 200 sales we are proud to announce we haven't had a single refund - which clearly shows a very high quality of our product! Try it out for yourself!
http://www.saynotoporn.org/ does not open for you? wierd, it works fine and we havent had a downtime for months... and why can't it be the hugest niche?
Comparing this to Apple/salesman is like comparing an ant to a giant. But using the same principle, everything can be sold - but the question is, what is the likelihood of it being successful? time will tell, as of now with a gravity of less than 2 does not seen to be the next "big thing" The porn industry is a huge industry, it would be difficult to change people's perspective to buy such product. btw, your last sentences where you mention "costs" are not correct, porn is so much available for free that you cant use this much to your advantage
Everyody thinks everybody else watches porn but really they dont (most people). For some reason they like to watch other people make out...etc.... When someone views porn it releases a chemical in the brain. This chemical can be in many ways like a drug. Just like with drugs, it can be addictive and the need grow greater over time. Hence, the addiction. Does everyone who views porn become addicted,..no. Just like with drugs, not everyone who tries them or uses them on rare occasions becomes addicted. The thing with porn addiction is that over time more unusual or deviant fprms of pornography will have to be used in order to achieve the same effect. (Just like a drug addict may turn to harder drugs)
You are naive if you think that gravity of the highest gravity products on clickbank is real. With a few 1000$ to game the system i could have my gravity pimped up to the sky - but this kind of practices are bad for affiliates so as a honest seller i would never do it. (why do you think i never received a refund for my product?? good quality work + being honest = customer satisfaction) In case you are wondering how others are doing it: check the stats for new affiliates, pay people to buy product through "your new affiliates" in your stats and before 60 days pass ask them do request $ back - do the same for every new affiliate and do it even several times per affiliate. Or even better - don't ask others to request $ back, you can give it back as a vendor too.
