Is anyone else experiencing the same? The last 3 sales I have made in the Make Money niche have been refunded. These jokesters never intend to pay for the product.
There are many products in that category. Some result in more refunds and some are good. so, you have to choose products to promote carefully.
What happens when a customer refunds the product? Someone told me that some of the money has to come out of the promoters pocket..
Try offering some sort of bonus to your customers. Give them value for buying the product through you and keeping it. Give them access to an exclusive section of your site or something, but yank it away if they refund the product. OR - get out of the make money niche. It seems to be getting harder and harder to make any cash in it...
There are just so many "make money" products out there that it may be that once your buyer looks at your product, it's information he's already seen. While there are some real jerks out there who read everything you have to say then just want a refund, it's more likely to be, to them, duplicate information. Quite honestly, I'd never try selling any product in the "make money" market until your reputation and earnings classify you as a "guru". Just my thoughts, Michael
Michael, I agree and usually steer clear of this niche. I just threw up a few affiliate links not expecting to make sales and did.
I find some products really crap these days. Won't be surprise if people ask for refunds. So better to choose carefully. Refunds are very disappointing.
You can calculate refund rates of products on CB. Stay away from products with refund rates above 10 or 15%. Many products with high gravity have refund rates of 20 or 30%, sometimes higher. Tom
Unfortunately, this is usually the reason why I normally steer clear of this niche. Firstly, people who buys IM products is already well verse in the fact that they can just replace your AFF ID with theirs. Hence, commission theft. Secondly, ClickBank just don't challenge refund requests and people who buys IM products knows that. Sad case, but true. I would also go as far as say that offering bonus helps, but not much. They can always go back to ClickBank within 60 days for the refund. Richard
That's one of the reasons why I hate guaranteeing a refund policy. They just want to see if the money you promise them will "magically show up in their account" because you guarantee success with your 'system' or 'program'. And when they don't see the desired results, they blame you, when it's really their fault for not taking action and making it happen.
