"Make money online" SERPs changed .. Google is smarter?

Hi guys,

do you think Google has now a way to find out those that try to fool their spiders for better search engine rankings?

Here is an example of what happened to "make money online" these days:

They find out a lot, but there is also stuff they dont detect.

 

Sooner or latter they find out. Google seems to have dropped alot of links to sites so that might have something to do with it.

 

I just searched, at that site still ranks #1. (on my search at least..)

who is john chow?

 

Google's data is stored on diffrend data centers, so it could be one thing your seeing and another thing we are.
The data centers almost never get totaly balanced, every minute content is added, pages are indexed and new links pop-up.
Just dont jump into conclusions as soon as you see a change in the serps.
One day you could be down by 10 slots, but the next day it can come back to normal etc.

 

I can see john chow and problogger ranking 1 and 7 for "make money online" without the quotes.

John Chow did drop and then he fixed it by doing something with google webmasters (he didn't mention exactly what though). Here is his post about it:

Sometimes there is flactuation in the SERPS as well which may account for this.

 

looks like john chow got delisted for Make Money online again!

 

yeah no where to be found..major SERP change today..i noticed it for some other sites and keywords

 

John Chow has been up and down for this term for that last month or so.. just a few days ago he was back at number 1, but i see tonight he's nowhere to be found.. Thru all this fluctuation, i have managed to float from #4 to #3 for "make money on the internet"

 

his site simply vanished..i cant find johnchow anywhere for that keyword

 

I see him back on No.1 spot for his keyword.
I guess, he did a good job. Too bad that he did not disclose the steps he took to get his ranking back.

 

John Chow is on page 5 for me, for 'Make Money Online' (without quotes).
Also on page 5 for 'John Chow' (without quotes). I'm from Belgium.

 

yea I don't see john chow on page one from Dubai

 

Wonder how could he lose the "john chow" serp !?

 

He is gone for me too, Google is against reciprocal linking for SERP manipulation. He got his ass kicked because he is no different from anyone else.
