And except it earns pennies (unless you own some really interesting domains, which are pity to be wasted on domain parking anyway)
You guys are good because that question made absolutely no sense to me. Wrmineo, does that mean you shouldn't park domains until you are ready to develop the site?
Nope, I don't make any money on domain parking 'cause I don't do it. Unless you have some excellent domains, you wont get any traffic to them.
there should be a law...if you buy domains you should use it...too many times have I seen good domains go to waste...
Domain parking for me is my last resort, if I have to hold domains in while a develop others. Usually I buy 50 domains at a time, so some of my domains don't get built for a couple of months.
I've been fairly successful at parking domains, with a modest profile. I also now have a step by step guide how to buy and park domains successfully with info on different services. One of the ways I suggest getting good domains is by going local. If you add your city to a popular keyword, you're likely to find a domain that is not taken and gets pretty good type ins. People do actually click on the ads when they come to these pages and you make money. Granted nothing is easy and money doesn't grow on trees, but if you make more than you pay in yearly domain fees, then you're making cash for setting up something once. That's how people make money. Do work once, make money forever.
I agree with "ace"...If you are planning to park your domains..you should have good domains where you can expect "type in traffic" towards your domains. Most importantly people can think of typing your domain name in address bar directly.
