    oanda is generally recognised as the best broker, for their spreads and web based platform. Their spreads can also widen drastically during news.

    If you are anything like me, and want to trade 'on the chart', i would recommend you go straight for MT4 - metaquotes; its really an excellent package supported by some good brokers. Oh, and its free.
