Hey guys Just listing a new product: Make Money Drinking Beer Basically it's just a different and unique (In my opinion at least) marketing spin on paid surveys/focus groups. I know the make money, paid survey market, is saturated. I don't have any big expectations. I just put up the sales page when I had some spare time, and thought I'd see how it went. I figured getting free beer and paid for talking about it, would grab a lot of peoples attention, and hopefully the sales copy will do a good job of converting visitors into buyers. Anyway for any one that's interested. 75% commission, $33.92 per sale. Landing page: http://www.makemoneydrinkingbeer.com Affiliates page: http://www.makemoneydrinkingbeer.com/affiliates.html
Clever marketing strategy at the very least. As you say the paid to take surveys market is pretty tough to break into, but I like that you are thinking outside the box.
lol thought I better put an aussie beer in there. I'm not a fan of vb myself, but I read it was the most popular/most purchased beer in Australia, so put it in with the images.
if you're interested getting that reviewed on a tech blog, pm me. I'm in a big beer drinking area in southern california and it has an angle for us. Thanks
lol. VB is pretty crap huhuh. better off with http://www.boags.com.au or http://www.coopers.com.au/ i reckon m
Rikat, no I actually haven't done any testing. The revenue I make from affiliate marketing all comes form pay per click advertising (my only area of 'expertise') I'm no good at blogs, articles, search engine optimisation etc (I'd guess 95% of you guys on the forums would be better than me at it) and since make money terms are so costly on pay per click search engines, I haven't tried it. I've pm'd you with review copy.
Spent some time over in Australia several years back and VB was the best beer I came across at the time. Certainly far better than Fosters
bluuuurgh! lol VB = worst. especially out of a can lol. Australia has many of the best beers in the world. VB is probably at the bottom. You'll hardly find a single person drinking Fosters either. you missed out on some good beers by the sound of it!
If you could make a skyscraper banner, I'd promote this on my blog! I do like the twist on paid-to-do-survey idea.
I can see this doing good through image advertising.. Hey dude get some1 to create some banners...it should well..
I think $49 might be a bit steep to charge people to find out where to take surveys to get cash to drink more beer. More like $29 - your appealing to students and dipsomaniacs I assume.
Lol i like that - I like the idea! But i think you need a sales page revamp - or at least the logo text! Im sure you could find a good designer here at DP!
Nice way to think outside the box, kudos to that And, not to be a spoilsport here, but you might want to add one more feature, just to appeal to a wider demographic. Most of the paid survey/MMO searches are done by a female crowd, especially stay-at-home moms or college students. Most of whom would be reluctant to take part in alcohol related money opportunities. It might be better to add something like "also: get paid to try out cosmetics/clothes!". Very few people can resist freebies like those. Impulsive purchases would just come rolling in then
Phaz - I'm actually happy with the sales copy, as for graphics I agree they could be better, but to be honest this was really just a 'fun, hope for the best project' If I start making sales, I'll look into it. Medic I agree totally with what you say, but since the thing that will be capturing attention is the beer part, it will be mostly guys looking anyway, and cosmetics/clothes won't really appeal to them. (Perhaps its an angle someone else can look into) Bille - lol. That's the whole point. I think of one of my mates whos a 'typical (beer drinking) guy' I can't imagine he'd click on a paid survey ad, but if he saw 'get free beer, get paid to talk about it', he would click on it and at least have a look at what it's about. rob33 - You do make a good point about the price. Does anyone have the same opinion? Should the price be lowered to $30 or $40? I guess $30 or $40 would be more inline with what other survey sites are charging. I just put a higher price originally to give affiliates a bigger payout.
