Discussion in 'General Business' started by noppid, May 8, 2005.

So many folks are generous enough to help others make a business plan, I was wondering what a white boy from florida might do to get rich?

Can you suggest a URL for my new site?

    Can you get me traffic?

Can you hep me write my home page?

I know it's alot to ask, but I need the money.

    Thanks

It's not just about writing a home page, or designing a website, its looking at categories that are going to bring in the money from the likes of adsense and other affiliate links.

It doesn't happen over night, it can take an age to get a new website ranking well in Google now with the sandbox, and its for this reason why this sandbox exists - no more overnight rich people earning tons of money from a new site in Google.

Build a website in a theme that people are interested in, optimise the website well without spamming and people will link to the site, traffic will follow and so will the money :D

But I need money for a kidney transplant for my dog. I only have a few days.

Can you make me a website like that? You'd be helping my dog.

If I hear another 'kidney for my dog story', I am gonna puke. I have heard this story on 4 SE forums in the last week. Unless you are the same person, let it go. Get your elbows dirty, bring your lunchpail and go to work. No more handouts. This forum is about learning, and being willing to learn. Not asking for someone to give you an idea to make you rich.

PS: IF your dog is sick, I am sorry to hear that...

OK, my elbows are on the table, what next? Will you email me a web site that will make me rich enough to help my dog?

P.S. I'm thinking he will die anyway, but if I have money, I won't be as sad. :(

Basically, you either fall into one fo the follwoing categories:
    1) You are lazy, dishonest and deserve to have a dog who actually is dying - however, if you fall into this category you probably wouldnt give a damn. Coming into any forum and saying basically can somebody give me an idea for a good business, build the business and promote it for me is absolutely guaranteed to get you criticism.

    Or

    2) Your dog is ill, in which case you are just plain naiive. No website in 2005 is going to be built from scratch and make money in a few days. The people above have tried to help in a fair way, but to be honest your replies have made me think more and more that you fall into the first category.

If my dog was dying and I was desperate to get the money to save him, there is no possible way I would ever bring myself to say:

"P.S. I'm thinking he will die anyway, but if I have money, I won't be as sad. "

    Or

"For a website, dog kidney, or a new dog?"

You are a fraud my friend, and should hang your head in shame that you could use a sick animal for your own financial gain, and that you could try to suck in other hard working people to your sick little world. On the 1% chance that I am wrong, I hope your dog gets better soon. ;)

This person sadly uses an animal to raise money and it worked, check out http://www.savetoby.com/

The "owner" will eat Toby the bunny if the funds are not raised, sadly, people have fallen for this.

It's sad when people prey on other's weaknesses. A lot of us are animal lovers, myself included but I am too smart to fall for these sick ploys.

And if the dog really does need a kidney transplant, then you could try to get a loan or something.

That site was able to pull that off because it was unique so it got a lot of press. Merely copying the same idea won't get you anything.

The Paypal amounts, by the way, on that site are faked so although I'm sure hes got quite a few bucks, it isn't anything near what he claims

May be with a different story with dog lying on floor ? :D

I feel pity on having so many stupid people in the planet believing such stories. :(

I ate rabbit once but there were too many bones and the meat wasn't so good to ever try it again.

I rarely eat meat anyway so no loss

You just turned me right off ever trying it, yfs1! lol.

I went to Texas Longhorn the other night, had a great chicken and ribs dinner and just loved it, too bad it's way downtown Toronto, but well worth the drive.

Now you are making me think of the great hotwings when I lived in NY. You just can't get them here like that.

Ribs can be hit and miss
