Well... I hear so much about SEO, Keywords etc. but I have never understood how to use them! We all know that we must have good keywords but I don't know how to make those! what can I do so that search engines will index my site, take it to page rank 1 and deliver more traffic when there are a lot of other sites that have the same topic as my site (ex. Movies) and there are a lot of web sites with movies with a lot of good keywords and stuff with good page rank and traffic. It seems to me that whatever I do there is always someone in front of me! I have tried changing titles and keywords and more but I never get traffic from search engines! (sites with website statistics show that my site has google page rank 1!!!)
to research your keyword, use "adwords external keyword tool" (just google it and you will find the link) regarding changing title/description every so often, it will not work. you select the best title description and stick with it. every time you change it, it makes things worse and you end up getting behind and google will need to index your site with the new info and adjust ranking accordingly. yes, someone will already be ahead of you, atleast for some time so dont let that stop you. persistence is the key. once you develop your site and do proper onpage optimization, rest will be building backlinks. you keep building links and never look back till you get the ranking and traffic you nee. it will work but you need to have patience as well as a good marketing plan. do a lot of reading which will make you feel more comfortable.
SEO is all about analysis and research. I 100% agree with sultanofseo; research your keywords first; the ones you think your site is focusing. And then make up SEO strategy to optimize your website by using proper on-page and off-page factors. On-page SEO is more important than off-page but that doesn't mean that you only put efforts within your site. Get quality backlinks often and avoid spam techniques and wait for your turn to rule the top SERPs... Hope this helps.
If you have your own site then you can do SEO for better check and go through all SEO strategies. Firstly, your site has good on-page optimization i.e meta tags should be better stuffed with Title, description and keywords. Now you have asked about keywords, then you can finaliza your own keywords according to your site requirement. Make a list of those keywords and then check there search volume in keyword tool which are free available on the web. After selecting those keywords, you can do Search engine optimization of those keywords for your site. 1--- Daily update your site with new content and also make a blog of your site which should be also updated with unique content. 2--- Link exchange with the sites of same category having PR should be equal or more than your site. This will increase PR of your site. 3--- Do social bookmarking, Article submission, forum posting, Classified ad and press release of your site. Article submission will also help to increase PR of your site
Aha.. thank you guys for make me this more clear. I have made researching with keywords but now luck! I have read a lot but no luck! I never use Blackhat tools for my web site but I think there are a lot of people who do that and are always in front of me with poor web sites! I have spent a lot of time making my site easier for visitors to use and navigate, also with good content! I see often very low quality sites with better page rank! anyway.. where can I find a good place for link exchange? I never wanted links exchange with my site but I think now its time to do it!
