Make it conditional that sellers products are legitimate, non-warez

Waaayy too many scammers on here selling products they've just downloaded from a warez site, imo.

Suggestion: make it a condition of selling that the product may not be warez - under penalty of ban.

What about under penalty of prosecution.

And if they're selling anything that a DP member has developed themselves, how about we add 'under penalty of death'.

DP seemingly does not mind all that much, so I don't think anyone will get banned for such things. However, and I stress this, DO NOT CALL THEM OUT IN THEIR SALES THREAD! You'll only get yourself an infraction (hijacking).

    • Rate the thread a 1
    • Give Red Rep (yes, it's worth it!)
    • report the post (include proof) ~ If you can't give proof, then don't bother.
If we do not act as a community, then it's the whole community that suffers from such scammers.

I don't think so, but the problem is no one have time to do it. I don't think Mods are in a good position to judge if a program is warez or legit. It will take forever

Not really feasible. Who's going to investigate hundreds/thousands of threads a day for free?

personally i think 8 out 10 people on here who participate in the design section use pirated software. and they admit it too.

The idea is great in theory just darn near impossible when it comes to putting it in place.

I would HIGHLY recommend charging in the buy sale trade section. That will keep a TON of bad apples out.
