I wanted to come here and share a tip that I learned and used on a few of my message forums to make some extra money. I have a couple message forums that I monetize with adsense (although they don't bring in much money). A few months ago I added a product search script from here: http://community.prosperent.com/showthread.php?350-Quick-and-easy-product-search-engine-using-the-Prosperent-API . It's completely free and open source. I started out by changing the logo and some of the colors to match my web site a bit better, then I simply placed a few links to some product searches that I thought my forum users might be interested in. In the past month I have made over 500 dollars now from the search page. Not only do my forum users use it, but the search engines seem to love it as well. My web site has over 160,000 pages indexed, most of which are product search results from my search page. The network the script uses is prosperent, and they do have a referral program, but i'm not interested in spamming the forum with my affiliate links.
