Make Apache server available on a LAN via custom ServerName

Hi, is it straightforward to set up an Apache server on a machine which is part of a LAN, then allow machines on the LAN to access the server via a custom ServerName (instead of localhost). I want to serve a simple website in an office space using a short ServerName (no ports etc if possible), but I want to make I know how much is involved (DNS/DHCP etc). The Apache webserver is being run on an XP machine. There will be a WiFi network in the space - we want people to be able to use their phones etc to access a local web page via the WiFi network. They will all be using the same IP to connect to the page.

    Thanks for any help.

One other thing I would like to do, but this may not be the place to ask, is to automatically serve a web page when people connect to the WiFi. This happens in cafes, libraries etc, so i'm sure it can be done, just need to find out how!
