make apache require file extenstion

  1. #1
    i have a directory "search/"

    inside it i have a file named "advanced.php"

    if I type /search/advanced/ into the address bar, this brings up the advanced.php file. How do i make this stop?

    even though i wont post there again, i'll post the solution.

    turn off MultiViews this way apache wont look for search.php when only given search/
