    Hi,

anybody here who makes a living of selling text links? Honey?

I need to finish a novel I am writing and figured that if I have 8 PR 5-6 sites and each site has 10 slots and I charge 10$ per month per link that makes 800$/month. + adsense 50$ + textlinkbrokers 150$ - 25% taxes. Then I could make it with a small rent and live cheap.

    You think it is possible?

    Anybody here doing it?

In case I need money I could just do a SEO or web design job for a client or sell one of the 15 sites.

    Could maybe be possible.

How far do dollars stretch in Sweden... I thought cost of living was more than the UK?

The problem I see with selling links is managing all of those tiny invoices. It would be an enormous headache.

Alternatively, the opportunity I see in selling links would be for a company that would act as a middleman for buying and selling links -- much like AdSense does for display ads. The middleman would handle pricing and invoicing and take a percentage of revenue.

    That I don't know really.

You can rent a small "1 roomers" flat with kitchen and bedroom for about 550$ / month.

:) yes. True. Better then to offer 3, 6 or 12 months only but then it probably gets harder to get buyers.
Hmm. Yes, similar like textlinkbrokers.com. But would be quite some effort to establish a running business like that.

I think I will do little of everthing. SEO, web design, selling links, selling sites/domain, adsense etc.

Agreed. If I were going to sell links for a living it would have to be via monthly subscription through Paypal. it's not worth it to me to bother sending out dozens (or potentially hundreds) of $10 invoices.
