Ok, I have asked a few questions on here about my site www.suntanning.com it's 8+ years old and comes up top for many many of it's keywords. Ok as I was writing this and looking at keywords i noticed the 1 word change I made 3 weeks ago just today bumped me up from bottom of 2nd page to bottom of 1st page for the keyword i'm going after all i did was change the title text from Tanning Bed Beds, Tanning Lotions, Tanning Salon Salons ... TO Tanning Bed Beds, Tanning Lotion Lotions, Tanning Salon Salons ... http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=tanning+lotion&btnG=Search going after "tanning lotion" I'm number 1 for tanning bed lotions and tanning salon lotions but the most searched word is tanning lotion. Look at this http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=tanning+salon+lotion&btnG=Search now, if i change the title text from "Tanning Salon Lotions" to "Tanning Lotions Salon" do you think i will come up better on page one for "Tanning Lotion" ???
Possibly You will have to try it out.. nobody will know the answer. Do also increase your inbound links count to reinforce the boost.
It all about playing with the keywords and recognizing which combination works the best for your site for the searches made. Trying different things again and again will make you understand the concept of keywords much better and will get a positive outcome from that.
