Hi my statistics today and yesterday are way way off by a factor of at least x2.5 (250% more hops needed for sale), and i am talking about thousands of hops. Anyone else feeling this? (please no... 1 sale per day and today no sale posts).. im talking to affiliates making at least 20 sales per day and beyond or other vendors, are you also feeling this?. These last few days clickbank made changes in there analytics system and also changed their TOS, almost everytime they change something all my sales stats get screwed up.
These past two days have been slow for me (about 50%). It could be anything really, but I AM getting really weird sales patterns (ie - very few US orders, very large PYPL %, etc.) Jim
Yes i can also report weird sales patterns. Example 1 hour = no sales and then 2 sales in 2 minutes. then another hour = no sales and then 2 sales in 2 minutes again. and these are in the "rush" hours where i get at least x2.5 more sales on "normal" clickbank days.
Yeah.... It is not QUITE decisive enough for me to be SURE it is a CB problem, but I wouldn't be suprised if they are having processing issues or an overzealous fraud system issue on some servers. I DO track things very well, and can tell you EXACTLY where any given hop came from at any given time. Things seem normal on that end... Jim
I usually don't read the "Crying Wolf" threads, but I can concur. I easily meet your 20 sales a day quota and I am feeling what you are. I believe something is wrong this time. I don't track every click because it would take me all day to watch the thousands of hops. I just glance for anything unusual, but this time I didn't even need to glance.
The last two days have been great for sales of our product. We haven't noticed any problems at all. Up 8% on the days a week prior. New affiliates doing some good stuff.
Looks like were up and rolling again.. Sales are popping in like normal now. It's quite possible that a problem be localized to specific Clickbank servers. I am quite sure Clickbank uses a several networked servers to keep tabs on all the hopping and selling.. But even if this happens here and there, Clickbank still remains my payment processor of choice..
I have been experiencing the same .... about 50% drop and some of my top affiliates(10 sales a day) did not get a sale... which is very unusual.
I had a quick look at my stats and your not showing any hops?? I'm pretty sure I've had hops from you. I looked at the other days and the hops from you have disappeared, there tracking is weird and I hate the new tracking script!, today is slow for me too, I had a good day yesterday but today has been really slow, not sure wahts going on but tomorrow can be different!!
Yup i agree, seems like sales are "normal" again, there was definetly an issue before. I hate these kind of threads and believe me i would not have posted this unless i was 100% convinced there is an issue and i am still convinced 100% there was an issue.
The new analytics is totally messed up. I have had issues since they've implemented it. Just use the old analytics for a more accurate tracking. Al.
You can't, after you log into your CB account put this after 'clickbank.com' in the address bar, "/account/simpleReporting.htm" All you get is a page that says this: 'We have deactivated this original analytics page. Please follow this link to the new analytics page or wait 10 seconds to be redirected.' Something is definitely wrong with the tracking right now. I could never put up with the new analytics when it first came out and now I hate it even more now that I am forced to use it. I forgot what year this happen in, but there was a time clickbank made a HUGE change in there tracking where you had to add some html code between the head tags which COOKIE STUFFED your affiliate link. It went horribly wrong and the cookie would stay stuffed after clicking another affiliate link, no matter for what CB product it was. Some of you might remember if you been in the game long enough, but I'll try to find info on it just to prove it. Of course clickbank noticed this quick and came and fixed it within 24-48 hours, this happen about 5 or 6 years ago I can't remember, since they fixed it SO quick and it was never mentioned again people now don't know about it. I just hope one of you guys remember this, if not I'll pull up the info, but really I know someone in here remembers when this happen.
Just posting back with the proof. I'm sure CB wanted this to be buried, but its concrete proof that they have had problems with their tracking, and just maybe there past tracking and current tracking is "good enough" until enough people complain... There's a reason so many people complain about their tracking, because the truth is something IS wrong with it. http://web.archive.org/web/20030927001606/http://kountsucks.com/ http://web.archive.org/web/20030927001905/kountsucks.com/concerns1.htm http://web.archive.org/web/20030927001834/kountsucks.com/concerns2.htm http://web.archive.org/web/20030927001722/kountsucks.com/concerns3.htm Some other stuff... http://www.associateprograms.com/articles/103/1/Clickbank-tracking/ http://www.clickbankguide.com/hoplinks.htm But also go to google and type in 'clickbank kount' and see how they have been trying to hide it...
Yesterday finished about as strange as the rest of the day was. To start with, this account is one that typically makes a sale or two per hour..... Generally, my stronger part of the day is from 6a-6p CB time..... Yesterday was slow until 9p, then 7 sales within 10 minutes of each other. Now today I had a sale at 1a and nothing since, despite very good traffic and 18 Order Form Submits in the first 3 hours alone....
Great! Thanks for reminding us for the SECOND time in this thread. We'll be sure NOT to promote your product.
Had a slow day yesterday but today looks back to normal for me. Already doubled what I made yesterday
I'm sure someone mentioned this occurrence in a earlier post but all my sales are from paypal no CC sales today I thought that was strange...
