Major Kontera Payment Issue

I never received payment for my January 2008 earnings. I emailed them several times asking why I haven't been paid. Finally on Friday, I received an email from Josh in accounting. He said that they needed a certain tax form and my account payment was frozen. They would not issue payment until I faxed then the tax form. I immediately faxed the form on Friday. STILL NO PAYMENT. And WHEN were they planning on telling me that they needed this tax form from me? I live in the USA. I didn't need to send a form in the past to get my payment.

I had major problems communicating with them about my first payment, a ton of confusion on their part. I have to email them several times to get a response regarding payment issues.

So just a word of warning.

I am surprised that more people have not complained about these payment issues

 

same thing happened to me..i'm still waiting for payment.

 

Me too, i've been wondering what's going on with them. They are taking longer than ever to respond.

 

I wouldn't be so harsh wth Kontera. They've been undergoing some upgrading recently to keep up with the competition.

It's a US law that ad networks or affiiate networks need W-9's from affiliates earning $600 or more in a given year and I wouldn't be surprised if that caveat wasn't hidden somewhere in the TOS.

 

I am in the same boat, still no payment for Feb though. I used contact form and no reply

lol, obviously they don't pay anyone.

 

Well... For me every month they pay on time without any problems and their support is pretty good IMO. I have been with them half a year now.

I just got their check for January a few days ago

 

It's the same thing with me. I've actually started to keep all the emails that I'm sending back and forth. I started up in December, got up to $300 then asked where my money was.

That's when we got into the whole, U.S. tax form deal which I sent in three times. Mix in some more emails and then I start to lose it a little. I log into my account and now the tax form stuff and method of payment is in the panel and you can fill it in via a form. DID IT...

Still waiting for my paypal payment....

All I want is a reliable payment and then I will put it accross all my sites but for now...I'm pretty timid about it...

 

They paid me $126 to my Paypal last month.

 

Another message post some said they may have money problems. Try Echotopic. Owned by Tribal Fusion. No problems there.

 

I have the same problem. They told me i would recevie my payment at April, but utill now I haven't received the payment (by PayPal). Anyone get the April payment (by Paypal)?

 

Glad I found this thread. Same problem others here are having as well. I have not seen a payment since January. Any update? Guess it's time to start looking for a replacement.

 

You need to send in a certain tax form. I had this payment problem and received an email from Kontera telling me about the tax form. I was never told anything about it until I sent several emails about why I hadn't got paid.

 

I thought I wasn't getting paid because they didn't get that form, but they got it and confirmed it. I received an email months ago requesting tax information, so I sent it to them the same day.

I hope they're alright financially. From what I've seen here, appears like they're stalling with payments but are still paying people that catch it and call them on it. In my case, they've been pretty easy to work with and I've never had a problem with them before until this.

 

Same problem here.

I was paid regularly for months, and then nothing. Prior to this happening I went from $400+ earning to just over $200 in a month (very suspicious... same amount of traffic, too.). This outfit is looking very fucked-up at the moment. No reply so far. Been 3 days.

If this is not bad enough, I made a request to add sites to my account, and within a day they responded (this was before I sent the email inquiring about the missing payments).

Be careful folks, 'cause KONTERA is looking as though they are a BUNCH of thieves.

P.S. I've only recently found out that KONTERA is based in Israel.

What does this mean? Are you insinuating something?
