After appearing consistently in Google top 30 for search term 'promotional products", I have remained in the 400-500 range for the last 6 weeks. Still doing everything the same (although I moved my other site (which has similar content) to same isp in May. What could cause such a large drop and non-rebound to higher position?
Did the drop happen on June 4th? If so there was a shake up to many long established sites on that day. Do a google search on "june 4th lost google ranking" and you will find some info that might help. I don't think anyone has figured it out yet, but at least there is some speculation out there.
The same thing happend to me.. around that time.. one site went from several thousand daily to 0 from google.. I changed the whois for my domain and changed the entire site with a new theme ect.. Got more back links for it several hunderd links and after these few weeks im still only geting like 5 - 10 hits from google and Im wondering if im just beating a dead horse and if i should move on or keep trying to get my ranking back. So dont feel bad buddy your not alone..
I'm in the same position with a site that was getting significant traffic. Same general time frame. Sigh...
As PR update happen, drop down occurs not only on PR but also on SERP. Still figuring out the new algo of Google.
The same thing hppened to me just before the PR update. I gained pagerank and fell out of ranking for my main keyword phrase. I am building new back links and added content and this shoulod put me back in the rankings.
Experienced this with some important sites. Been up till 5AM for the last 3-4 days trying to figure out what exactly happened.... also working on totally changing some sites to see if that brings rankings back. Absolutely stumped as to what exactly happened, but I'm dieing to figure out what the heck happened.
