Hi, Well I have 3 directories, http://www.dir4you.net - This one shows ads about childrens fun and games. http://www.generaldir.net - This one shows ads about blogs. http://www.biddir.net - This one shows ads about auctions (Not as bad) The ads aren't at all relevant, and thats probably the main reason why I'm making <$1 per day! So, does anyone have any tips/advice on how to make these more relevant? Thanks, Jake.
Maybe add a rss news feed to the page to create some relevant content. Also in your meta description - you have a lot of fluff words, like may, is, the, your - clean those up a bit to work it more direct. "You may submit your website to us either as a free, reciprocal or featured link, in order to gain more traffic, or appreciation from the search engines. We also have a nice Google PageRank, so this can also help improve your PageRank and help give your website the boost that it needs." turn that into "submit your website" instead of "you may submit" get rid of "in order to gain" to "gain more traffic" etc etc. be direct and add more value words. Although your writing is very well, search engines and programs do not need the fluff. hope this helps! -Tim
Thanks for the tips. I tried to improve the META description a bit. This is the new one: "We are a directory of websites. Submit your website to us either as a free, reciprocal or featured link to gain more traffic or improve your Search Engine Results. We have a Google PageRank too, which gets you better backlinks to improve your SERP's." I'll go improve the META's of the other directories now.
