hi guys, i am new and just have a quick question. I run 3 websites which are all wordpress based and therefore have a blog. I try to update them all regularly to help with my google ranking for specific keywords but i just wondered which way is best to do it. currently i have a static page as my homepage with a link to my blog in the sidebar. Would it be btter (in terms of increasing my rank) to have the blog as my homepage so that the content is constantly changing, or to keep it as it is? all advice is appreciated. cheers
My dear instead of putting site wide link better give link in the post. Write the post with a anchor text in the post which will be better for you to get good backlinks and relevant backlinks.
i currently write posts which do include my chosen keyword as anchor text and then it links back to my site's homepage becuase my blog is on a different page. What i want to know is whether it would be better just to have my blog as the hompage and whether this will help me move up the google ranks. Or should i keep my homepage as a static page and just link my posts back to my homepage?
I believe it depends on the topic of your website. Is it a corporate site? An e-commerce site? Or just a hobby site?
just a hobby website. It's about how to recieve free consoles online. but then my blog also contains all the latest consoles news, apple news and other electrical goods new - this is to try and attract trageted visitors to my site.
Cool. I would go with the blog as homepage. I'm assuming your static page contains the offer. Just add a prominent banner or button somewhere on the blog linking to the said static page. Best of luck to ya.
if you add fresh content the crawler will check your website faster and you get quick backlinks with the right anchor texts to your new content this could be an advantage for you.
