With no warning one of my main terms dropped from the 1, 2, position to the 3,4 position across all DCs. And I see a redirected spam directory in the 10 ten for this term. Has anyone else had recent jumps or drops all of a sudden?? And if so any thoughts on if the algo is acting crazy, or if this spam directory might be influincing this term?
I've noticed Google has been acting silly recently, have you done a spam report to Google about the directory?
If you follow the threads in other forums, last week of October Google made some major changes and that has resulted in some pretty ridiculous results. My past experience shows that Google will eventually correct itself so the best thing to do is to wait. It just seems right now that Google is changing so fast and so often that we can no longer count on steady traffic for too long for a keyword. So focusing on your readers is key despite the frustration.
I was bout to post on this too. I've dropped from the first page (top 10) SERPS for several terms. Yesterday, I was just fine.
