Main page PR same, internal show increase

The main page of my website creditandmortgageindex.com shows the same PR which is PR3. Since the last PR updated, I have more links pointing towards my site but it has remained static.

Some of the rather recently added internal pages show PR2 and the old internal pages with PR2 are still the same.

    Any idea why?

    Thanks!

Going from PR3 to PR4 is a bigger leap to make, and so you need more higher PR incoming links to your homepage.

Oh, that's it? Ok, I can give it a shot :) I hope my question wasn't too stupid! I am new to this place and to SEO. Thanks for the help! :)

Could you answer another thing though? What PR links should I target now? Say, I want to achieve PR 5 in the next update, should I target PR 5 inbound links or even higher than that (pr6, 8) ?

    Thanks again!

Without buying lots of high page rank links, a page rank of eight is going to be hard to obtain and probably not worth the monetary investment.

I would work on getting the SERPs where I wanted them instead.
