Main page is PR 3, all other pages are PR4

Does anyone know why this is the way it is? Except for the index page, all pages on one of my sites(not the one in my sig) are a PR4. How do I get the index page up to PR4 as well?

 

this is nothing extraordinary....its happened to me on a few occasions myself.

do you have a links on your homepage that leave your site....that could be the cause

 

There's a good chance your navigation has http://www.sitename.com/page.html which will transfer PR from both sitename.com and www.sitename.com

Use htaccess to point http://sitename.com to http://www.sitename.com/ and you'll have equal and most likely higher PR.

 

Thanks homeusersecurity. I do have a couple of links that leave the site, but that is on the navigation menu which appears on every page.
