main page and inner page

some book tell: main page play more important than inner page in rank of se.if you see top rank page is inner page ,you will more easily to got top rank.

is it true? except domain(that can make main page prior to inner page in rank.), what make main page different from inner page in se rank?

 

Much better if your main page can rank well in search engine because main page contain all the important link pointing to your inner page.

main pahe is more important because it's the start point of your site. you will be liking to your subpages from your main page

why mainpage(index page) have advantage to inner page so to rank better in se?

 

maybe he meant that if your inner page ranks at the top, there is a possibility for the whole site to rank higher. Well, it still depends on your keywords but it is better if you target the main page first.
