    what are the different mail servers useful in doing email marketing?what is smtp server?what is the definition of that ?why should we enter smtp server address in mass mailing software?examples of smtp servers?:(

    smtp stands for send mail transport protocol. this is the daemon that will send mail to other smtp servers that are authoritative for the particular domain.

    if you are trying to spam and don't understand how it works I would suggest reading some more - you will get your smtp server IP blacklisted in a hour or two. And remember, spamming is NO GOOD :p

    You could look at wikipedia.org for basic definition, like smtp.

    Read in forums. Read books. Read anything related. And did I say read.

    i don't have idea where i can find books related to smtp.digitalpoint is best forum to get every information related.any source of knowledge of mail servers?
