Hello all, I currently use Constant Contact for my email newsletter, which I am very happy with. I would now like to start sending a newsletter or periodic emails to my forum members as well, regarding important forum issues and announcements. The problem is, my hosting company only allows 5000 emails per month. This could soon be a problem as my membership is already approaching 4000. I am looking into mail server software so that I do not have to rely on my hosting company for sending forum announcements through my forum. Does anyone have any suggestions? thanks, Joe
there are lots of mass mailer out there, with sending options such as - send it directly from your pc or pass it to your smtp server elsewhere. but almost everyone is using smtp server for better delivery. if you'll go with that, then your mass mailer won't matter. you can use any. just look for an isp/webhosting provider that has a higher limit for sending emails. currently, i'm using these two. http://img118.imageshack.us/img118/5568/mailerwindowslc1.png http://www.imagehosting.com/out.php/i1428334_mailer.PNG
Thanks for your reply, but I am very happy with my web hosting provider. So changing providers is not an option.
