Mail from CB: IMPORTANT - ClickBank Reminder for April 9th Changes

    Hi,

Today I received this email from CB:

"Please be advised that effective noon, April 9, 2009 (U.S. Mountain
Daylight Time), ClickBank will no longer allow transactions for products
that fall within the following category:

"Any product that, in ClickBank's sole judgment, encourages the unlawful
transfer of copyrighted media, such as music, movies, videos, and games"

Because ClickBank values its relationship with its affiliates, we
notified you of the policy change a month ago to give you plenty of time
to move your existing promotions and advertisements to other product
niches. However, it appears you are still sending traffic to at least
one site that will be affected on Thursday."

I promote via PPC many products, I think one one of these must be "everythink4360".

Maybe they should send a detailed list on the products in question...

It's about all P2P download services be that movie, music or games. They should send a list of exactly what vendors will be affected though, rather then having to do a bit of guess work.

I agree it would be noce of them to say which products are being affected directly and which ones will be delisted..

If you promote "everything4360.com", then yeah, I'm sure it will be removed.

I wonder what's gonna happen to the marketplace...Are they going to just remove such products from the marketplace completely or what?

    Yes,

This is the same question I would ask... What happen If I'm still sending traffic?

I need to definitely update all of my links heading to these types of sites but I'm not making so much money with them that I'm in a huge rush, I'll just see what stops working and then replace 'em.

I asked Clickbank if they would also ban "satellite tv" related products.

    They said:

"Internet television programs are still accepted by ClickBank, and are not included among the list of products we are discontinuing, so feel free to continue promoting those products."

They said noon U.S. Mountain Daylight Time and they are not kidding.

Also the satellite tv for pc products are not affected by this as I received an email from the VP:

"We will also continue to sell satellite tv sites as long as they do not encourage downloads of copyrighted material as part of the promotion or delivery of their product."
