Magx Directory has gone through some changes and I would like to make an official annoucement. We have changed the script to allow for more versatility for submitters allowing them to set the position of their listing in each category by bidding. Furthermore, the top 5 bids will be shown on the front page. This is a hybrid between the regular PHPLD script and a bid directory. The lowest bid has been set to $29.99 and actually includes 5 deep links where it used to be three. In order to be considered "featured", a listing must have a bid of at least $49.99. This gets the listing highlighted and above all other "regular" listings. If you get a featured listing, you can be listed in the top category that fits your listing. Only 5 listings will be shown in any given top category. So bidding $49.99 doesn't necessarily get you in a top category. It depends on who else is there and what their bids are. Also, as of Aug. 1st, Magx will no longer have any site wide listings. This is to ensure you guys get the most for your money when you submit. The only outgoing links will be the listings in any given category. With the next update, this should be really cost effective for submitters. The change to the directory created some problem with bid amounts. For some reason, people's bids came in at $0.00 when they had actually paid. I think I have restored everyone's links properly, but if I haven't please let me know. I will be sure to rectify the situation. It's possible I got some amounts wrong. Also, Magx has created a blog and has made it's first entry: Creating a Quality Directory: A Guide As always, thanks for everyone's support. Let me know if you have any questions.
