Ive downloaded magento and paid ($300 ) for a perfect template for my upcoming business. One big problem though, the template uses a horizontal category navigation that runs across the top. I think that a side category navigation possibly on the left sidebar would look much better. Ive searched around Magento's forums and found a little support on the subject but not much. Im no designer, nor a coder. Should I just roll with the horizontal nav or can anyone around here give me some insight on what I should do?
Magento is very tough to code for - I would recommend sticking with what you have until you are sure your site/product will be successful and then optimize and spend the extra $$ to switch over.
