Magento, osCommerce, Zencart, or Wordpress - who is the winner?

Magento ha a drawback, hard to implement if you need to start from 0 and build your first website, unlessyou are a programmer, i suggest Joomla+VirtueMart

 

Magento for me Hands down, yes it can be slow and a resource hog without a good server and some speed optimization, but I think the functionality and customisablity it gives is worth it.

 

I assume that the abundance of webmasters mainly prefer to use magento shopping cart for running their e-shops..
It is really the best ecommerce software.

 

Probably Magento is the best in terms of its powerful infrastructure. Wordpress is great for blogging. I would also look into PrestaShop. It is lighter than Magento and easy to use.

 

Magento is enterprise class -- but that makes it slow unless your on a dedicated server! osCommerce is ez to use, flexible and probably the number 1 cart in the world -- just make sure to secure it properly!

 

OpenCart also good one for eCommerce Website.

 

for me, the best is Wordpress

 

I will happily vote for magento, but it is way too costly to buy a license which is now costing 14K. Is there any other best alternative for magento

Today most people selling and buying on internet. so most of traders are making business online and for this they can use different website developing platform like magento, cs acrt, oscommerce etc.. and most of user like Magento because it is dynamic and flexible website creation platform that you can editing and removing by yourself..

 

There is no one winner because all like of are best for e commerce platform everybody like all.

 

Magento is my preferred choice. They too have the hosted version which works out much much cost effective than their enterprise edition. Next to Magento I will put BigCommerce as another good ecommerce platform.

I personally use core commerce but have building a site on a Wordpress platform. I can let you know the results when I am finished.

 

if you have large products list and you want add many addon, you have need a magento, I run magento for 4 store and just one admin only, but the cost was high
