I'm continually shocked at how there doesn't seem to be a single "magazine style" theme for Wordpress - something with a home page override that lists articles differently or has a better looking interface. I've been doing google searches and have been looking at template sites for at least a year and I still haven't found one. Does anyone here know of a Wordpress theme like this? I suppose I'm looking for something that lays out articles similarly to Vivvo: demo page here - basically with articles in an interesting layout, more "newspaper" like, getting rid of the cliche reverse-chron mile long list of blog posts.

Same problem with the research of a magazine style wordpress theme and I think I will do the same as I am impressed by Brian's work Any problem with plugins and wordpress updates ? [I would like to add video plugins] What is your site URL markn26 ?
Not to take away from any of the ideas but a fellow named Upstart Blogger does some really awesome themes in this category for free. He also gives pretty good technical support. I use one of his themes for my blog (Arsenal FC Blog) and have been able to customize it quite well to suit what I want. Here is a link to a blog style you might like called Futurosity.
