The other day i received a message from facebook. A lady claim to be working for a magazine want to interview me because she found one of my site is interesting... I though it is spam so i didn't reply it. then i start getting message from other social network site and forum that i registered. She is literately hunting me. Finally i replied her and she want to set up a meeting (she actually want to fly to NY from Canada). I am debating should i met with her or just do a phone interview..i am kind of nervous now cause it never happened to me before. The magazine is http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vice_(magazine).. and the funny thing is, i don't know much about that website. it is kind of a MFA site and i hired writer to write the article. I know some basic about that topic that she want to write about..i am debating if i should let her know too
Just learn more about your site (sounds quite ridiculous actually ) and have a go. It's a great opportunity to advertise in a magazine for free.
My advice would be to do the phone interview. You shouldn't have to do anything that you're uncomfortable with. Maybe once you get more comfortable with being interviewed you can start meeting people in public places for interviews. Don't get too worried about her "hunting you down"... it's her job.
