I started an entertainment blogazine (xerxy) a few months back and though traffic has risen gradually to about 300-400 visits a day, I have yet to earn anything from it. Currently, all I have is the large rectangle ad at the top right corner. The few clicks I was getting were on the sub-pages so I removed all ads from the main page. Sample sub-page: http://www.xerxy.com/2009/05/22/shame-on-you-hunters/ Also tried adding a 480x60 text banner at the end of each post, but it didn't do anything. Any recommendations?
Instead of using image ads, why not try using only text ads and see how it goes. Just a suggestion...
@TheLasTSamuRai Can you still not access it? Uptime is one thing I'm good at ensuring so I have to sort out anything that's wrong. @lycos Thank you for the suggestion. Have just changed the settings to display text ads only. Let's see how that goes.
Feeling in the upper right corner of the article, put a 200 square google ads, the effect should be good. Will not affect the reading, the reader can see the ad at the same time!
Thank you. That's what I did, but it brought the CTR down to 0. Am trying it out now with different placements and slightly darker colors. Whatever brings results.
in the single post page include a large square below the heading (this will be text ad) and the square in the sidebar should be made image. Ad below heading always brings in good clicks.
