you heard this? pure speculation unless you have a source you'd like to quote?

i cannot believe the parents did this, accidentally or otherwise.

Aren't the Portuguese Police mean to release the details of the case today or was It yesterday?

I must admit, Today was the first day i heard that they were both doctors, they also apparently give their kids sedatives so they could get some peace and quite on holiday.

If these sedatives did kill the poor kid, i would say if they were twisted enough, there is a 50/50 chance that they would cover it up (so as not to lose their jobs and cushy lifestyle) and the creation of the biggest media child abduction case that i can remember is the perfect over-reaction & cover story

Ok, I admit, using bleach is not a crime. but leaving children ( under 12 ) alone in a house IS.

But this is the problem, what right thinking parents, especially educated professional doctors, would leave 2 babies, and one 3 year old, completely alone in a hotel room ?

and do so, for the sake of going out for a meal ?

surely, they must have known that they were going on hols, and must have realised that they children would need looking after if the parents were to have some freedom at night ?

nothing makes sense in their story.

did they always leave the children alone, and think that was 100% acceptable ? if so, what kind of unbalanced minds are at play here ?

why did their hotel have a baby sitting service ? did they choose this hotel precisely because of such a service ?

if so, why did they not use it on that night ?

when there is doubt, there is no doubt.

I dont belive for a second the child was abducted by anyone.

the parents have the look of people who are remorsefull for what they have done, rather than of people who are in despair.

also, why the change of rental car ? did they not plan on having a rental car for the entire time they were in portugal ( investigation et al ) ?

surely they can more than afford to have a car at all times ?

why would they need to return / replace the car at all ?

    all very very dodgy.

innocent till proven guilty, doesnt mean that they are innocent of the death of their daughter.

if someone did abduct the child , why is it , that the police are not convinced after seeing the scene of the crime ?

all sounds like a cover up by the parents.

I hope indeed, if they have done it, that they go to jail for a very very long time.

The fact that they are running scared, only emphasises the possibility that they are guilty.

usually, innocent people belive that their innocence cannot be overturn, and dont start thinking that the police have a vendetta on them, and will produce false evidence....

one thing is for sure, the guiltier one is, the more you seek legal cover........

UPDATE: " Police searching the car also found so much of Madeleine's hair that it could not have been transferred from a blanket or clothes and must have come directly from her body, the journalists were told. " === IF THIS IS TRUE, ITS GAME OVER FOR THE PARENTS ===

100% disagree with this comment......... none of us are over there, at the police offices, to see what they have done, to consider their actions a disgrace...

moreover, they sound like they are far cleverer than they are letting on, and have withheld evidence to ensure the media coverage doesnt compromise their case......

far from a 'disgrace' in my books..........

The police found a lot of hair in the trunk of that car and they said it is to much to have gotten there by accident. It must have comed directly from the body they claim.

Is it just a matter of time, when someone else makes the same claim

but this time, a false claim, just to get the ££££££££ in donation money ?

whilst their child is safe abroad with family etc etc ???

I wouldnt be suprised..........heck, I may even try it myself.....................!!!!! ( not )

I think so. I mean, authorities even found body fluids(semen, etc.).

I can't ignore the evidence, especially with the blood in the rental car. They killed that kid, no doubt about it in my mind. It may have been an accident, that's for investigators and a jury to determine.

'Bodily fluids' doesn't necessarily correlate to semen - it could mean saliva, sweat, mucous or the products of decomposition. I've never heard that semen suggestion before but if that was true it makes it even less likely that both parents are involved.

yes and I think that the court of public opinions should not decide the case.

    Interesting comment.

And who exactly decides a case in court ?

is it not the opinion of a group of ordinary members of the public ?

exactly.... so it is indeed public opinions that wil decide this after all.

how many parents to do you know, that sedate their kids for a bit of peace and quiet ?

    guilty as sin.
