From day one my mother and her fiance have said they thought something dodgy was going on, i wasn't sure. The whole Portuguese Police invesitgation is a disgrace to be honest.
God it would be sad if they did do it. I belived in them I really did. So I just hope they are not gulity of this crime
That parents are extreme people anyway, going around the world like that, greeting the pope and so on. Who knows what people with that capabilities are capable of?
And why did they find Madelaines blood in the car, they rented the car four weeks after she disappeared.

Any sane person would not wash a favourite teddy of there missing child because they would want to keep her scent close to them.
So you think the mother of a missing child in a foreign land is going to be completely sane, do you? Like I said, I'm just playing devil's advocate here, but I really haven't seen any cast-iron evidence that incriminates them. Everything - the washed teddy, the 'smell of death', the blood spots in the apartment (which weren't hers actually), the calm appearance of the parents - can be explained in some other innocent way. The only thing that will almost prove they were involved is if it is confirmed that the DNA in the hire car is that of Madeleine. It will also have to be proved that this evidence was collected in a forensically sound manner - which could be a problem.
I don't think they should of left the little ones alone in the apartment at all!! I have a 2 year old and have just recently come back off holiday and would never even think of leaving my son by himself (even before this happened). As to whether they were involved in her death (assuming she is dead of course) I'm not sure, they do seem to be too calm about the whole thing and if it was me i don't even think I could of gone on TV I would of been too upset to even talk to anyone. We will see soon i'm sure!!
It seems the parents have now hired one of the Uk best lawyers to represent them, ' in case ' they get prosecuted. how many people hire lawyers b4 they get charged ? and how many innocent people would do so ? Hmmm, all sounds too too unlikely.......they smell of guilt, and if I had to stake my life on it, I would say they were guilty of her manslaughter / murder..... lets face it, they never seemed an emotional wreck at anytime........ they cant explain why they left the children alone ? what reason not to use the hotels free babysitting service ? ahem.....this alone is more than enough to place them under tremendous suspicion..... furthermore, as said, if the DNA was really found on the car they hired 4 weeks AFTER, then that proves this matter once and for all.........why would the police make false evidence just to prosecute them ? after all, its no slur on Portugal, seeing as Portuguese people NEVER leave children that young alone, AND it is / was a UK person that was under suspicion at 1st .......... trust me, the portuguese people dont give a xxxx about the UK media, or tourism for that manner, how many english signs have u ever seen in Portugal ? in tourist areas ? virtually zero........ and no mum would even think about washing a teddy, dirty or not........thats just beyond any normal reaction..... anyone remember that murder years ago, when a woman claimed her husband was killed, in an incident of road rage, in their 4 x 4 car............later turns out the woman killed the husband, and no one else was involved, but originally the woman started a uk campaign to find the killers......... anyone else spot a similiarity ? over the top campaigns, and lack of emotion to the actual loss of child..... bleaching the hotel ? actual bleach ? dont think so............by all means use a kitchen spray to clean, but dont know anyone actually using bleach....... they were well off people, and stayed in a classy hotel, u dont need to bleach places like that......... but if u need to remove evidence, bleach is your no1 choice..... in my mind, they are guilty as hell..........if the daughter never is found, than that just proves she was never abducted............
WOW, that's one hell of a first post!! Hiring a Lawyer, if I were in their situation the first thing I would do once I got settled back home would be hire a shit hot lawyer, if only to stop the posts on forums like this saying I was guilty. My wife uses bleach everywhere, many people do, using bleach is NOT a crime. Sorry but if you look at the TV coverage, Kate McCann was as near to a nervous breakdown I have ever seen anyone in the early parts of the disappearence/investigation. Its a total phalacy that she/they have not shown any emotion. No it doesn't, it proves her DNA was there at some point, just when and for how long no one can say. It does not definately mean she was there, could it not have come from a toothbrush or something similar? Now having said that, at the moment I am keeping an open mind about this, how can anyone say for definate they did, didn't do it without the benefit of the whole story, including the McCann's version?
After the recent developments re DNA in the hire car, I take back what I said earlier and now think they are guilty, i think i was just hoping they weren't before!
Because they had a bottle of bleach, if you look at some of the simple-minded logic in this thread. Funny, I hadn't really considered bleach as an essential part of a murderer's toolkit until I read this thread.
Personally I think its one big setup by the portugal police, they totally messed up the investigation in the first place, realised its ruining their tourist trade and want to wrap it all up. I do not agree with them leaving the kids alone though, that was totally wrong and unacceptable.
Apparantly This i what happened .... The 2 parents are both qualified doctors, they wanted to go out for a meal in the evening so drugged their children with sleeping injections and then wen out. However one of the children was given too much and died, they then realised they'd screwed up bought a hire car. This could be where the blood was found in the boot. They then got rid of her body and claimed that she was kidnapped.
If you die of an overdose, there is no blood, how does the blood fit into your theory? They got the hire car over a month after Maddie went missing, where did they hide the body for over a month? The church some have said, but you know what, even churches in Portugal get hot, surley someone whould have noticed a smell? Last time I looked, my local church didn't have a chest freezer under the alter!!!!!
They'd be strange doctors indeed if they administered a sedative purely for 'convenience' reasons. Most doctors don't do that sort of thing - GMC guidelines say that doctors shouldn't treat members of their own family as a matter of routine. Also most doctors don't make a mistake with the dosage of common drugs - as a GP Kate McCann would be prescribing these everyday and would be very familiar with the dosage guidelines.
