Hi there...2 days ago i made some design changes and thought I would cut down on some keyword density on my site.
I was ranking on page 3 to 4 for a huge searched game related keyword and on page 1 for some other longer tailed keywords.

    Now I am gone :(
my keyword density for the main single word game was at around 14% I noticed that the sites on page 1 for online games was around 4% so i cut it down i think now to 7% also cut down on my main keyword online games

I thought I my site density might have been to high so its the reason i changed ....

Do you think i will come back in a few days in the serps or does it not look good for poor old www.gamespond.net

Please share if you have had the same problem ,let me know if your ranking came back .....

There are some flux in rankings when you update your website(not content).. thats a general process, wait for some time and your rankings will be back..:)

Agreed with Manish. Your site is working fine in search engines' eyes. You'll get your rankings back after this fluctuation. You can work on some 1-2 articles syndication about these gaming keywords to help stabilizeyour rankings though. But anyway, it should be fine in a week or so.

    Cheers!

Yes this is a common occurrence when one changes anything major on their website. Just be patient and keep adding more unique content to your website. Also keep building more backlinks. In time the rankings should come back and hopefully even higher than you were previously.

Why fix a site that is not broken. Having said that, incoming links and anchor text are so important that I find it unlikely that a few keyword changes would result in disappearing. How would I know? Because I have moved sites from one platform (HTML) to another (Blog) where my onsite ranking factors including title and descriptions tags clearly changed. Yet my ranking didn't change hardly at all.

This is exactly what i did -
Changed title from Online Games | Online War Games | Fishing Games . to Free Online Games | Online War Games | Fishing Games
cut down on keyword density for games and online games - only because competition had theirs very low...

    small redesign of the site...

within 24hrs site was gone for my main keywords :(

do you think if i change my title back to the original it will come back or just wait the week out ?
    thanks for all replies 2

I had similar experiences. You might get your SERP back within 4 days. I think this is just a matter of time and do not make frequent changes in your contents.
