add akismet to your blog. It will reduce your work load by 60%.

 

Yeah, it will reduce.. But till now i didn't get a chance to fight with spammers

It's easy to install and works great.!! But the only problem is rememeber its not human. So the findings of the plugin always may not be right.

 

Having a dofollow blog means you can get more traffic and now you can also get more comments on your blog. Even I own a Blogging tips blog which i made dofollow recently and since then my comments have increased each post gets 20 to 30 comments. Of course you'll have a tough time dealing with spam but it is worth it.

 

But its bringing great traffic and attention.. So I am just keeping it as dofollow..

 

If it's bringing in traffic then who can argue?

 

I think there is equivalent amount of spam whether no-follow or not.

 

May be am not sure.. but btw am getting only 2-3% of the whole comments which can be considered as spam..

did a comment in your blog. By the way making a blog dofollow is good for traffic and UVs.

 

We are approving almost all the comments with relevant comments. Spams go trashed..

 

I just tried to leave a comment on your website. It's now asking to sign in. Have you changed the permissions?

 

Yes, Just for reducing automatic comment submissions.

 

Google posting 25 November



Basically it states the Google recognises spammy comments in blogs and forums and devalues the website making them. SO if you make a meaningless posting just to get backlinks Google will penalise you.

Quote " If you see a spammy link you created, try to delete it, else contact the webmaster to ask to remove the link. Once you've cleared the spammy inbound links you made, you can file a reconsideration request. " Unquote

 

Don't sure about this. But will webmasters delete the comments ( may be they ) and re approve it again? I doubt it

 

An Update:

The commenting option has been modified and now posts can be commented without logging in.

Give relevant comments and Make the post more informative please..
