Made More Off Writing Articles Than Adsense

I recently undertook some article writing, being an English student with English as my first language and all, and I already made like $70 on my first date.

Beats 1 cent clicks and dying to get more traffic.

Just thought I'd say that Adsense isn't the be all end all to making money off the internet. In fact, I love when I get Paypal'd some money. Beats the hell out of waiting to get a check for 40 days.

Now here is my advice for you because trust me, I have thought the EXACT same way as you. Do both. Content write, but use that money to try and build your Adsense sites. Content writing can get tedious and frustrating, but if you can earn on sites that you are not really doing much on, it's even nicer. Just my advice.

How many articles did you have to write for $70? Just curious.

Yea, I'm definitely going to use some of this money to get my sites out there. I got a forum started up last night and already got a few members, and am looking to spend even more on that.

    Should be interesting!

I sold them to people. My rate is 500 words/$6, so I guess you could say I wrote 5,833 words, which really isn't that much considering this post was .4% of that!

Haha. Hey, whatever works works. I charge $12.00 for 500 words, but oh well. So long as you understand that the rates that we charge is not money to make a living off of, but a rate to fund our sites, I think you're pretty set. :)

I will say if you stuck with article writing your monthly earning will not more than $2000-$3000 if you write articles fulltime. but if you concentrate on Adsense and Invest your time on doing SEO to your content packed site, I believe that you can earn lot more than what you earning from article writing and one more thing once your site is getting visitors you will earn while you are on holiday.:)

Remember that many website income does not require manual labor such as article writing. So keep on building your website income, it does not has to be adsense. It can be affiliates etc.

On the short term I think article writing will give you more reveneu back, but see it this way, with small efforts the content you write for your adsense site will still earn you months after you wrote it. So in the end you earn most with posting the articles on your own site.

Of course you can earn money from several different sources online. For some people here, selling signature links can be a good source of income every month. For others, doing directory submissions can bring a steady amount of earnings every month. For others like you, writing content can earn $$. So its always good to have different income sources other than Adsense.

Well, you could earn some money, but indeed, it requires you working for the money. The great advantage of a website is the fact that it works for you. So invest in websites that work for you and help you get the money easier.

I've written a single article with less than 70 words and it has generated about $2,000 with adsense. And my writing really Sux.

I'd love to buy someones writing at a flat rate but would never sell my own that way.

In fairness, I should mention the numerous articles I wriiten that didn't do so well.

Hey, your getting pay to write... and that's what it should be about!

Keep publishing to your Adsense sites and you'll find what works best.

    What works for me??
Simple product reviews of a products I've purchased. Pays for the product...several times over.
