I think adsense is perfect for a niche website. I'm not really sure if it's a high paying niche but you can try it.

I am watching very carefully [ok like a hawk] my keyword position and ranking.

Some keywords I'm trying to compete for give $32.00 PER CLICK

I am watching the competition fall by the wayside as I concentrate on this whole SEO thing. And the competition isn't motivated as I am. You see, I'm not a lawyer [very close to one, but no cigar] Since they are lawyers they don't sit around backlinking and stuff. Their website is simply another tool they use to build a name and hopefully get clients.

On some keywords I'm jumping 2-5 pages at a time. It's slowing down now of course, that I'm getting withint 2nd - 5th page for a lot of the keywords.

I'm #1 on quite a few long tail keywords. But they don't generate any traffic [sigh] In fact even though I'm number one on several not so long keywords I get absolutely no traffic from them. But sure as hell I'm #1. It's like having a mcdonalds burger for the first time [is that all?]

But i'm humping those other keywords. I keep updating my content, sitting through hour long lawyer speeches. Reading laws  Isn't it sick i get excited over this crap?

did you do research to make sure people actually search for those keyword phrases? what is the point of ranking #1 for something no one searches for?

Ranking with mortgage and refinance keywords can fetch up to $40 per click.

Hey guys I just got an email from a law website. It's a pr 5. They want to do a link exchange with me. But they want me to put their link on a high traffic page, but my link would go on a no pr page. Oh here's their site, not that I want to advertise for them, just want your opinion should i do it. http://www.theattorneysforum.com/ it doesn't appear to be a good deal to me. And everyone says link exchanges aren't great. but if the site is ranked pr 5 wouldn't that boost me or only if it's a backlink of pr 5 and not a link exchange?
