Hi, After 3 months of very aggressive link exchanging using the appropriate anchor text with relevant higher PR sites than mine, I went from page 24 on google to page 1 today! According to MicroNicheFinder, there's about 18,000 monthly searches for this dating niche keyword combo I finally ranked on page 1 for and 390,000 Exact Match competitive sites. Up until now, according to statcounter, my site has only been seeing 5-10 UVs per day. Although I'm very excited, I have some concerns as this is my first SEO experience. Here's my questions: o After all this hard work, I don't want to be disappointed and have this experience be anticlimactic. How much of an increase should I expect to see in UV traffic? o What percentage of your site's traffic is from organic sources? o What do I do if I don't see an increase in traffic? o How do I stay in the top 10? Advice From the SEO Veterans Appreciated George
Some of my sites are 100%. Some are lower then 10%. Start targeting other keywords and building backlinks for them. Take a look at your onpage SEO. Make effective use of any new keywords you introduce - add more pages, etc. Continue building backlinks using similar anchor text with very minor variations. Do not make major updates on the page. Make small changes, if needed, and wait for the results to show up in the serps. If the changes are good, keep tweaking. If the changes are bad, revert to before the last change.
1. Nobody can say that. 2. It depends on the site, in most of the cases it's above 30% (at least from my experience). 3. Try to push harder and get in the top 3. 4. Keep working on your site. More content and more backlinks should keep you in the game.
From what I know sites in the bottom 5 get about 3% traffic each on average (of course this is not even close to being exact)... 18K monthly means 600 daily.. 3% of 600 is 18... Not to good if your whole campaign relies on just 1 keyword... Rank for another 20 keywords like this one and you should be fine.. =)
Concentrate more on building one way links 390 000 competivity is low you strugled way to much for that top10 ONE WAY links is the key
I would say continue with what you are doing and try to reach the top 5, as this will help you a lot more then the top 10, why? because usally people give up after the 5th time and search another phase, and alose check your ranks on other Google search engines, as your rank can also be different in UK and India.
