I ran into a couple of sites that seem to me to be worthless other than being click generators for AdSense. I've seen similar sites before and I always took offense to them. They try to get people to click on the ads by making the site look like it's been designed around the topic they searched for. Unfortunately, the site actually doesn't have any content. All links lead to AdSense. I've always wondered how these sites survive. I'm pretty sure that a site designed so skillfully around the AdSense ads would be against the TOS at Google, but I recently thought of a possibility. The sites may survive because they are a Search Portal. Here's the sites I ran across today. Are they Search Portals or AdSense violations? http://www.hhogas.com/buy/gas/oil/fuel/fuel.htm http://support.myquickrespose.com/
The first link is not adsense, it is overture. If you scroll over the links you will see at the bottom browser bar: http%3a%2f%2frc10.overture.com%2fd%2 Code (markup): The second link is also not adsense, but some other PPC network. I'm guessing it is probably a domain parking program.
The first link is NOT MFA. It's a parking site. A similar parking program site is Bodis. And those ads may not be from Google, they could be from independent ad networks since it doesn't say it's from Google. Anyway, there is Adsense for Domains, but this is open only for a few people or companies which get a lot of traffic per day. I mean a lot. The second link does not have any ads. And I think it should be http://support.myquickresponse.com/
Actually the second link does have ads, but it is still not adsense. You have to click on a category. It is PPC designed to look like a directory.
Well, parking programs are very smart these days. The trend is to make parked pages look like real sites.
I hadn't ever clicked on any of the ads. I used AdWords for a while and didn't like the idea of clicking on the ads without actually being interested in buying anything. I had just ASSumed that the links were AdSense. I'm pretty sure I've seen similar sites that had the little Google Advertising label. Thanks for the info guys.
