It's not a case of them been strict, it's the case that Google does not like users who steal their money, no ad network does.
Stealing money is not a "mistake" so probably time for you to start looking for another network to join.

Ive clicked my own ads a few times for testing purposes and have never been banned by Google (Ive been using it for around 3 years - although I dont do it anymore), if I were you I would stop clicking your own ads for a start and just carry on trying to build on traffic.

Hopefully you won't get banned but I wouldn't do it again....

Logging into any google site from the same IP address for about 48 hours will give you away. May want to try to not do that.

I suggest you to report this to Adsense with a promise not to click them in future. And don't ever click yourself hereafter, all will be fine.

DEFINITELY let them know. I know it's aggravating to not be making money, but all you need is some nice SEO, and good advertising placement, and there should be no need to click on your own ads, testing or not.

Be sure to include the IP address from where you did it from if you know it.

Why would you click your own ads rather than have friends do it?

Play with fire and get burnt my friend.

I think you risk losing your account because of the clicks you made yourself. However, I am not sure about contacting Google about this. I think there are two sides.

If well explain, for example you propose to refund all the clicks, then Google may consider that you do your best.

On the other hand, telling them that you did this may trigger the ban very soon. The guy may say: "Ho, you clicked on your ads, you're banned!"

For me there is no best answer. Consider not clicking again. Other advice: try to not log in too often. I heard log in too often and having clicks from yourself may tell to Google that you try increase your revenues and check how much it pays for each click.

Lol what happened to me is that I have an adsense account and I log on to it from my home and work and my boss wanted to know more about internet marketing. I was telling him about adsense and he decided to click on one of my ads lol and it showed a click with $0 and so I went to contact them and in the faq it says we know this happens if it is just one time we know there are accidents and they will be sorted out and not to worry because I was going to tell them. Lol they haven't banned me yet.

No jitukothari4u, you need not worry about your account getting deleted by google. Because google will not count the clicks that you yourself made on your ad as a valid clicks, because at the time of the creation of your account google records your IP address so whenever you make a click from that IP address google won't consider it as a valid click.

And only clicks made from other IP's other than yours will be considered as valid and counted for $. I myself have done this mistake a dozen times, but I still make money from my ads (but now only through genuine traffic).

So don't worry be happy & try to bring traffic to your site/blog.
