I bought a $50 activated account for $10 (PayPal) from CashYourDollar here on these forums. Today I made $100 from one sale after the ad was running one day and a half. I had 32 hops and it converted once. Is that a good ratio? It costs ~$0.80 per click for the niche I am in. I am linking directly to my hop link. I spent $20 out of the $50 credits. So if I play it right, I could potentially get 2 sales out of $10 (now it's $8 per account because I'm a repeat buyer). That's multiplying $10 into $200. I'm not here to brag or anything, although it does feel good I'm showing you how easy it is. All it takes is some crafty ad wording and you're on your way.
Although it does vary from niche to niche, yes I'd consider 1:32 a good ratio. I generally get worried by the time I get to 1:100 in many niches and still haven't converted.
I have promoted a clickbank product with 3% conversion , and it was really profitable. But unfortunately clickbank discontinued this product. Hope some of you know about this product
1:32 seems about right. Mine is right around 1:27 but my keywords are only .30 What niche are you promoting?
Yeah, I'd say the average clickbank profitable product is around 1:25-1:40 or so (depending on the day) and around .15-.30 CPC. As far as keeping costs down, you can convert just as well by having your ad as low as 5th place, compared to 2nd or 3rd place (though you may already have it there ). -T
How do you find products that convert at 1:25-1:40? Trial and error? It sounds like a great deal if you have a .15-.30 CPC.
Well, assuming the product itself is decent and not a shoddy rip-off, it's more about who you market to rather than what you market. If a product that seems decent isn't converting for me at 1:25-1:40 over the course of 2-3 normal days, it's a good indicator that either my landing page is jacked up, or I'm preaching to the wrong crowd. Most often, I find that the keywords that best convert my target demographic for medium/high popularity products cost me no more than 0.15-0.30. If I'm paying any more than that, I'll usually drop my bids, unless my ad is already below 6th place or so. -T
Thanks for the advice. Do you enable content network or do you only show your ads for Google searches?
Unless you know exactly what you're doing and have a very close eye on your budget, leave the content network off. Otherwise you'll wind up with a bajillion clicks and no sales. -T
