    The Validate/Calculate link is what you click to Validate your site (Make sure you got the links on your site), and Calculates how much weight the site has. You can't get any weight until you click that link!! I think it does update it every so often. It also checks your site to make sure you don't take the links off, even if you don't check it yourself.
