MacTheRipper Alternative: an Indispensible Tool for Mountain Lion
It is generally known that MacTheRipper enjoys a high reputation for its great abilities to remove the DVD copy protection and region code and to backup commercial DVD movies to hard drive in VOB format for free. However, with the release of Apple’s new operating system, Mac OS X Mountain Lion in July, 2012, MacTheRipper seams nail-biting at it. In this case, many Mac users turn to a MacTheRipper alternative for Mountain Lion to rip DVDs smoothly on this new Mac OS. Here, a paid MacTheRipper Lion alternative, MacX DVD Ripper Pro, is introduced and highly recommended for its powerful features, high output quality and easy-to-use interface. Below is a brief comparison between free DVD Ripper for Mac and the alternative to MacTheRipper Mountain Lion.

I use iMedia Converter Deluxe for Mac to rip my DVDs. It handles a lot of DVDs others won't and it can recover scratched DVDs that no other software will dare to try. Free trial if you want to give it a go, and it's very useful for converting DVDs to mp4, m4v so that way they're compatible with iTunes, quicktime, iPod, iPad and fully compatible with OS 10.8 Mountain Lion
