Macromedia Flash

    Hi
    please need help on this. At times when i visit some sites using explorer Iget error message saying
    Flash Player 8.0.0.0 or above is required
    After installation I see animation showing it has being installed. When I visit the site again, I still get the same error message, can any one tell me what I need to do. Thanks

    Switch to Firefox, Safari, or Opera instead :)

    Yes i thought of that. However i have a software that i paid for. On opening it, it opens up in explorer :(

    Just change your default HTML browser to Firefox (or whatever). Firefox will ask if you want to do this when you install it.
    Otherwise... in XP: Tools > Folder Options > File types > etc...

    IE is evil. Nobody should be forced to use software that relies on IE/ActiveX - may I ask what it is?

    You could of course just copy the file location/url that the software is trying to load from IE into Firefox.
