    Yah. Check out the macbook air. It is awesome and cheaper than the others. You can get it for $1700 .

    It is cheaper but it's also going to get wear and tear easier + has a worse processing system.

    So, can anyone stick to the actual question I asked?

    Not really because it doesn't come with so many essentials like a cd drive and firewire ports. You'd have to pay for wireless drives for those and together it would all cost a lot. Plus, macbook and macbook pro have better specs.

    Everyone goes crazy over it because it's thin... Apple knows how to market.

    So, has anyone tried the original macbook?
